Branded links allow you to enter your own Link ID when creating a short link.
It can be Unicode, numbers, and alphanumeric characters, and is commonly used for company names, event names, page names, and product names.

Brand links are more accessible than regular links because users can easily recognise what the link is just by looking at it and can easily memorise it if the URL is made up of words.

If you're reading this, are you using branded links to create links?
If you're still creating generic links (randomly assigned link IDs), you're missing out on a lot.

Let me explain what branded links are, why they're important, and what the benefits are.

Create short link URLs with brand links | Vivoldi

What are Brand links?

When you create a link, the Link ID is automatically generated as a non-duplicate series of letters and numbers after the domain.

Example: https://vvd.bz/biHH

The biHH after the domain is an automatically generated link ID, and it's perfectly fine for users to click on links in your posts.
However, when you send a link to people via SMS or KakaoTalk chat, they won't be able to tell which link it is, and it's easy for them to perceive it as smishing or spam.

When entering the short link created by the link creator into your website, sometimes mistakes are made by entering the wrong case for the Link ID.

Branded links allow you to enter the Link ID yourself, replacing it with a short word that is clearer and easier for people to remember.
A good link is one that people can easily remember at a glance or know roughly what it is before clicking on it.
At Vivoldi, we call these good links brand links.

Brand links can be your company name, the name of an event or promotion, the title of a webpage, or the name of a product you're selling.

What are the advantages of branded links over generic links?

The Pros and Cons of Generic vs. Brand Links in Shortened URLs | Vivoldi

URLs that are easily remembered by people are likely to have higher revisit rates, and click-through rates are higher when it's known what the link is than when it's an unknown link.
These are real numbers based on accumulated statistics from big data.

Building links using your unique brand will result in more clicks, more return visits, and more sales.

Which link ID will you use?
A random, spammy link that's completely unknown, or a branded link that's clear and easy to remember?

When creating branded links in Vivoldi, there is a limit to how many you can create per month depending on your plan.

Create a brand link

Creating a brand link is very easy.
On the Create Link screen, simply tick the "Brand Link" option checkbox and type in the words you want.

Use branded links to create memorable links when creating shortened URLs in Vivoldi

In addition to URL link, brand link are also available for article link, file link, mobile deep link, button link, and card link.

Two important facts!

The ID of the branded link is the word that you type in, which becomes the link ID.
You can't use a word that's already been used by another user because you don't want to duplicate it.

Choose a good word, a memorable word, and a brand name before someone else uses it.

When you use a brand link, your domain is treated as vvd.im, not vvd.bz.
When distributing your link, use the copy link feature in the link list instead of typing it out yourself, as there may be confusion about the domain.
